Spring Sundown

Whisper to me please

Light breeze tell me secrets

Reflections on waning solar rays

Chickadee sing a lullaby

Whistle through the trees

Creek toads hum

Through the cattail reeds

Daffodils and Hyacinths

Bright with their early display

Encourage Iris and Lily

Blooms still a month away

Lacy clouds adorn icy blue sky

Budding tree leaves a glow in the light

While I say goodnight

To the wren’s lonely cry.
