GRANDMOTHER LULLABYE

I share an evening lullabye

With the robin on the budding maple branch

With the jay settling nestlings in the walnut nest

With violets and dandelions scattered over the lawn

While pine boughs gently bounce in the breeze

Peaceful humming and hoping

The sentiment travels love’s journey

To grandchildren’s homes as they cuddle in and rest.
